Cook County Guardianship

The Cook County Guardianship Courts are located on the 18th Floor of the Richard J. Daley Center in the heart of downtown Chicago.  The court call for routine matters is on Mondays through Fridays at 10:00 a.m.  Routine hearings are held at 11:00 a.m., and special hearings and trials are held in the afternoons.

Because of the high volume of cases in the Cook County Guardianship system, there are multiple Guardianship judges.  The high volume of Guardianship matters also tends to make the Guardianship process in Cook County much slower than surrounding counties.  In addition, the Guardianship judges usually give more oversight to each case to ensure the proper administration of every Guardianship Estate.

If you would like to learn more about the Illinois guardianship process, check out our general Illinois guardianship page, or check out the Frequently Asked Questions pages for guardianship for more detailed information.  If you are in need of a Cook County Guardianship Lawyer, give us a call today at (630) 898-4789 for a free initial consultation.
